Chapter 4-7: Predefined Fields

APPX MENU

This menu is the default startup process for all users.In addition to allowing a user to select a new database, the APPX MENU process provides access to system administration, and application design.  This menu, shown in below, can be invoked at any time and is typically used as one of the steps in a startup job.For example, consider the following job:

100   SYS  UPDATE     SYS LOG IN USER
200   ---  MENU       --- APPX MENU
300   SYS  UPDATE     SYS LOG OUT USER

The first and last steps of the above job may write records to a customized system log file that tracks each user as they enter and exit APPX.
